Saving and sharing kits

Saving comes first

Saving a kit stores it to your account: all four banks of pads, their colors, effects and chop lists, and the beats you made with them. Open it later on any device and it is as you left it.

Saving needs an account. Signed out, a refresh loses nothing, but closing the tab loses everything.

Publishing a kit

Saved kits are private. Publishing gives a saved kit a public page at sampler.fm/your-name/kit-name and a link you can share. Anyone with the link can play your kit without an account.

Published kits are also listed on your profile at sampler.fm/your-name.

Each published kit gets a share card, so the link shows a preview when posted in a chat or on social media.

Opening someone else’s kit

Opening someone’s link loads their kit in the instrument. You can play it and change anything.

• Their copy is safe. Nothing you do affects the original. You are working on a copy from the moment it loads.
• Saving makes it yours. Saving creates a new private kit under your account, with no connection to theirs. Publishing it is your own separate decision.

Unpublishing

Make private removes a kit’s public page. Anyone who already opened the link may have saved their own copy.
